Job summary

Pyramid E&C is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to specialize in piping stress analysis. The role involves evaluating piping systems for various loads and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME B31.3 and B31.1.

Suitable candidates will have proficiency in CAESAR II, with knowledge of AutoPIPE being advantageous. Responsibilities include preparing stress analysis reports and participating in design reviews as well as providing support during construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

Job description

• Perform piping stress analysis using tools such as CAESAR II/Auto PIPE.
• Evaluate piping systems for:
• Sustained, thermal, and occasional loads.
• Wind, seismic, and dynamic conditions.
• Prepare and review:
• Stress analysis reports.
• Load summaries for equipment and structures.
• Stress isometrics and support drawings.
• Ensure compliance with codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.1
• Recommend and design appropriate pipe supports, spring supports, and expansion loops.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and model reviews. Provide support during construction, installation, and commissioning.

Software Skills:

• Proficiency in CAESAR II (mandatory); knowledge of AutoPIPE is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Experience in brownfield and revamp projects.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling tools like PDMS/SP3D/E3D.

Education: Mechanical Engineering Graduate from a recognized Institute.
