Job Description

Pharmacist is responsible for managing the safe storage, dispensing, and inventory of medicines used at the fertility or healthcare centre. The includes prescription verification, dispensing, stock management, expiry monitoring, documentation, storage condition monitoring, and coordination with doctors and nursing staff. The pharmacist ensures medicines are handled accurately and safely in accordance with applicable pharmacy procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Review prescriptions and dispense medicines accurately as authorized.
• Verify medicine name, strength, dosage, quantity, and instructions.
• Counsel patients on proper medicine usage as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate dispensing and pharmacy records.
• Monitor medicine stock levels and prepare replenishment requirements.
• Check expiry dates and remove expired or damaged medicines from available stock.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and temperature-sensitive products.
• Maintain records for controlled, restricted, or special-category medicines as applicable.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication requirements.
• Handle medicine procurement and supplier coordination as assigned.
• Verify incoming medicines against purchase and delivery documents.
