Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to design, execute and optimize load tests using LoadRunner. The role requires independent work across requirement analysis, design, execution and analysis phases.

You will enhance Vugen scripts in Java and C, coordinate with development teams for triage and fixes, and monitor production metrics under heavy load. You'll work with APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic, and have exposure to cloud infra (AWS/Azure) and

Qualifications

• Proficient in performance testing with LoadRunner and familiar with APM tools
• Ability to work independently across requirement analysis, design, execution and result analysis
• Develop Java and C language code to optimize Vugen scripts
• Analyze test results and coordinate with dev teams for issue triage and fixes
• Knowledge of OS internals, file systems, storage, networking; cloud infra awareness
• Monitor production stats and apply models to test envs with higher loads
• Experience monitoring databases and highlighting performance issues
• Experience in Finance – Banking domain projects; LoadRunner protocols
• Database: SQL or Mongo
• Unix basics
• Cloud concepts – AWS/Azure

Desired Competencies

• Good experience using Performance Test tool LoadRunner and understanding of APM tools like AppDynamics/Dynatrace/New Relic, etc.
• Should have ability to work independently in Requirement analysis, designing, execution & result analysis phase.
• Develop customized codes in Java & C language for optimizing and enhancing Vugen scripts.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for issue triaging & bug fixes.
• Good understanding of different OS internals, file systems, disk/storage, networking protocols and other latest technologies like Cloud infra.
• Monitor/extract production performance statistics and apply the same model in the test environments with higher load to uncover performance issues.
• Must have experience in monitoring DB and highlight performance issues.
• Experience working on Finance – Banking domain projects. LoadRunner -HTTP/HTML/Webservices protocol/Java Protocol, .
