Job summary

Zalaris in Chennai, India is seeking a payroll operations professional to manage employee data, payroll inputs, and reporting. You will maintain the organizational structure, handle attendance, and ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple EU and EMEA countries.

The role requires hands-on SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent English communication. You will also train teammates and handle complex cross-functional issues as part of a collaborative

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive payroll operations experience.
• Significant exposure to multiple EMEA and EU countries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Register and maintain employee data (new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension).
• Maintain organizational structure.
• Handle absence/attendance registration and processing.
• Register payroll data input (deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries).
• Prepare and deliver reports.
• Handle service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone.
• Produce contracts and other employment documents; maintain archives (physical/electronic).
• Act as case manager for complex multi-functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.
• Perform additional tasks related to the role.

• Registration and maintenance of employee data (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension control)
• Maintenance of organizational structure
• Absence /attendance registration and handling
• Registration of payroll data input (e.g., deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries)
• Preparation and delivery of reports
• Handling service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone
• Producing the contracts and other employment related documentation Maintaining physical and / or electronical archive
• To solve problems and be a case manager for complex multi-functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.
• Performing any additional tasks, linked to the primary scope of the position.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll operations, with significant exposure to multiple EMEA and EU countries.
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with SAP Payroll (SAP HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English (additional EU languages an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
