Job summary

Zalaris in Chennai, IN is seeking a Global Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team and ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery across multiple countries. You will manage employee data, process inputs, handle payroll queries, and prepare reports in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 6-8 years of payroll operations experience, hands-on SAP Payroll (HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors, plus strong Excel and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of progressive payroll operations experience with exposure to multiple countries in EMEA/EU.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Payroll (HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Registration and maintenance of employee data (new hires, changes, terminations, tax information).
• Maintenance of organizational structure and absence/attendance records.
• Registration of payroll data input (deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries).
• Preparation and delivery of payroll reports.
• Handling service requests through the C4C system and inquiries by phone.
• Producing contracts and other employment-related documentation; maintaining archives.
• Solve problems and act as a case manager for complex multi-functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Global Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll team and support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across multiple countries. The role will involve managing employee and payroll data, processing payroll inputs, handling payroll-related queries and cases, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local payroll requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Registration and maintenance of employee data (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension control)
• Maintenance of organizational structure
• Absence /attendance registration and handling
• Registration of payroll data input (e.g., deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries)
• Preparation and delivery of reports
• Handling service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone
• Producing the contracts and other employment related documentation Maintaining physical and / or electronical archive
• To solve problems and be a case manager for complex multi functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.
• Performing any additional tasks, linked to the primary scope of the position.

Your Experience And Skills

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in payroll operations, with significant exposure to multiple EMEA and EU countries.
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with SAP Payroll (SAP HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English (additional EU languages an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
