Job summary

The Exude in Gurugram is seeking a Pattern Master with experience in women’s western wear to translate design sketches into accurate, production-ready patterns. You will ensure proper fit and maintain standard blocks across sizes, coordinating with the design and production teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of pattern making experience, strong knowledge of garment construction, grading, and fabric behavior. The role is full-time and on-site in Gurugram.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in pattern making for women’s western wear.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, body proportions, fitting, and grading.
• Proficiency in manual pattern making; CAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience working with woven and stretch fabrics.
• Ability to interpret design details and propose practical construction solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop patterns from design sketches, technical drawings, measurements, and reference garments.
• Work across dresses, tops, shirts, trousers, skirts, co-ord sets, blazers, and jackets.
• Collaborate with the designer to achieve the required silhouette, fit, and construction.
• Guide the sampling team on cutting, stitching, and garment finishing.
• Attend fit trials, identify fitting issues, and make pattern corrections.
• Develop and maintain standard blocks and grade approved patterns across sizes.
• Account for fabric shrinkage, stretch, drape, grain direction, and print placement.
• Finalise production patterns with accurate seam allowances, notches, grainlines, and component labels.
• Coordinate with the production team to resolve fit and construction issues while meeting deadlines.
