Job summary

Fashionc Overseas Exports is seeking a Pattern Master to develop production-ready garment patterns using Reachpeace software. The role demands precise grading, measurements, and adherence to buyer tech packs and approved samples.

You will coordinate with Design, Sampling, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure patterns meet quality standards and production timelines for export garments.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in garment pattern making.
• Experience in an export garment manufacturing company will be preferred.
• Proven hands‑on experience in Reachpeace software is required.
• Ability to read and understand tech packs and perform pattern grading.

Job description

Position: Pattern Master Department: Sampling / Production / Technical Industry: Garment Manufacturing & Export Reporting To: Head Sampling / Production / Technical Team

Role Objective

To develop accurate, production-ready garment patterns using Reachpeace software, ensuring proper fit, measurements, construction, grading, and technical specifications as per buyer requirements and approved samples.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Pattern Development

• Develop patterns for different garment styles based on buyer tech packs, sketches, measurements, and specifications.
• Create accurate patterns for sampling and bulk production.
• Develop patterns for tops, dresses, shirts, trousers, jackets, skirts, and other woven/knit garments.
• Ensure correct seam allowance, notches, grain lines, drill holes, balance marks, and construction details.

2. Reachpeace Software

• Have strong working knowledge of Reachpeace pattern-making software.
• Create, modify, edit, and maintain digital patterns efficiently.
• Perform pattern grading and size-wise development using Reachpeace.
• Make corrections based on fit comments and maintain updated pattern versions.
• Prepare patterns for marker making and production according to factory requirements.

3. Measurement & Fit

• Interpret buyer measurement charts and technical specifications accurately.
• Check garment measurements against approved samples and tech packs.
• Conduct fitting analysis and make required pattern corrections.
• Ensure proper garment balance, shape, ease, and fitting across all sizes.

4. Grading

• Perform accurate grading according to buyer size specifications.
• Ensure consistent grading between sizes.
• Verify graded patterns before releasing them for production.

5. Sampling & Development

• Coordinate with the Design, Sampling, Merchandising, Production, and Quality teams.
• Develop patterns for new styles within agreed timelines.
• Make pattern modifications based on sample fitting and buyer comments.
• Support the sampling team in achieving the required fit and construction.

6. Production Support

• Provide technical support to the cutting and production teams.
• Resolve pattern-related issues during production.
• Make corrections in patterns when required due to construction or fitting issues.
• Ensure the final production pattern matches the approved sample and buyer specifications.

7. Quality & Accuracy

• Check all patterns before releasing them for cutting.
• Ensure correct measurements, seam allowances, notches, grain lines, and pattern pieces.
• Minimize fabric wastage through efficient pattern development.
• Maintain proper records of approved and revised patterns.

8. Buyer & Technical Requirements

• Understand international buyer requirements and technical standards.
• Work according to buyer tech packs, comments, measurement charts, and construction requirements.
• Maintain proper version control for buyer-approved patterns and revisions.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of Reachpeace software is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of garment pattern making and construction.
• Good understanding of grading and size sets.
• Strong knowledge of garment measurements and fitting.
• Ability to read and understand tech packs.
• Knowledge of woven and knit garment construction.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under strict timelines.
• Good coordination with Design, Sampling, Merchandising, Cutting, Production, and Quality teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in garment pattern making.
• Experience in an export garment manufacturing company will be preferred.
• Experience handling international buyers and export-quality garments will be an advantage.
