• Carrying out professional patent searches and analyses in international databases (WO, EP, US, CN).
• Advising inventors and R&D teams about the state of the art.
• Recording technical facts and formulating technical summaries.
• Support in patent applications, grant proceedings and oppositions.
• Monitoring and assessing competitors.
• Development of existing services and creation of new patent services.

Major responsibilities

1. Carrying out professional patent searches and analyses in an international environment, e.g. in WO-, EP-, US-, CN-databases.


2. Advising particularly inventors, research & development functions about the technological state of the art.


3. Recording of technical facts and formulation of technical summaries.


4. Support in patent application and grant proceedings as well as opposition proceedings


5. Monitoring and assessment of competitors.


6. Continuous development of existing patent services and development of new services.

Requirement profile

Formal education: BE or master’s in mechanical / Electro-mechanical Engineering

Professional experience: > 3 years (In years)
