Job summary

KSB, Inc. invites an experienced professional to join our Industrial Engineering team as Assistant Manager (IED).

You will oversee tool inventory, storage, calibration, and procurement coordination to ensure smooth operations across machining and manufacturing processes. The role requires a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 7–9 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of tool engineering, AutoCAD, and SAP-PP.

Qualifications

• BE / B-Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–9 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of Tool-Engineering, Machining processes and setup activities.
• SAP-PP Module and MS Office proficiency.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage tools inventory including cutting tools, inserts, holders, fixtures, gauges and consumables.
• Issue tools to machine operators as per requirements.
• Monitor tool consumption and tool life records.
• Maintain storage, identification and inventory records.
• Update SAP, Excel and other inventory systems.
• Prepare tool requirement reports and purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate with procurement for tool procurement and supplier follow-ups.
• Calibration & maintenance of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Tool Management Material Receipt, inspection and storage cutting tools, inserts, holders, fixtures, gauges, and consumables.
• Issue tools and equipment to machine operators as per requirements.
• Monitor tool consumption and tool life records.
• Ensure proper storage and identification of tools.
• Inventory Control Maintain accurate tool inventory records.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Prepare tool requirement reports and purchase requisitions.
• Control obsolete, damaged, and expired inventory.
• Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain tool issue and return registers.
• Update SAP, Excel, or inventory management systems.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
• Maintain tooling consumption record.
• Procurement Coordination Coordinate with the purchase department for tool procurement.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding tool deliveries.
• Compare quotations and maintain vendor records when required.
• Calibration & Maintenance Maintain records of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Coordinate calibration schedules with quality departments.
• Ensure tools and measuring instruments are in good working condition.

Requirement profile

• Formal education: BE / B-Tech (Mechanical / Industrial Engg.)
• Professional experience: In years: 7 to 9 Years
