Job summary

KSB, Inc. is seeking experienced QA/Inspection professionals in India to perform seal plan inspections, dimensional checks on fabricated components, and oversee NDT activities in coordination with clients and suppliers.

You will review QCPs, verify processes meet drawings and standards, and raise NCRs where needed. The role requires 5–6 years of experience, strong use of measuring tools and NDT methods, and effective communication to drive supplier improvements.

Qualifications

• Formal education in mechanical engineering as listed.
• 5 to 6 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments, fabrication processes and NDT testing.
• Ability to read machining and fabrication drawings and related codes.
• Strong communication, problem solving and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform Seal Plan & Spare items inspection for visual, dimensional, hydro test, NDT inspection, documents review etc along with Client / TPI at Supplier and KSB end
• Conduct dimensional inspection of fabricated parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators
• Review of QCP for Seal Plan and Fabricated items as per Projects Specifications
• Execute NDT activities including DPI, RT, UT as per requirements
• Verify vendor manufacturing processes follow approved drawings and specifications
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs and corrective action requests
• Conduct Supplier Audit for vendor and take corrective actions from supplier for further improvements
• Communicate inspection findings and work with vendors to resolve quality issues
• Identify recurring issues in vendor quality performance and provide feedback for process improvements

Major responsibilities

(most important tasks, not more than 8 headlines, defined in 2-3 sentences only)

• Perform Seal Plan & Spare items inspection for visual, dimensional, hydro test, NDT inspection, documents review etc along with Client / TPI at Supplier and KSB end
• Conduct dimensional inspection of fabricated parts (Can, Motor stool, column pipes, base frame, etc.) using measuring instruments such as vernier calliper’s, micrometre’s, height gauges, and dial indicators etc.
• Review of QCP for Seal Plan and Fabricated items as per Projects Specifications.
• Execute NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities including DPI, RT, UT as per requirements.
• Verify that vendor manufacturing processes follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective action requests as required.
• Conduct Supplier Audit for vendor and take corrective actions from supplier for further improvements.
• Communicate inspection findings and work with vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Identify recurring issues in vendor quality performance and provide feedback for process improvements through notifications and improvement actions.

Requirement Profile

• Formal education :-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / BE
• Professional experience :-5 to 6 years
• Defined competencies: (Please mention Functional Skills and Behavioural Skills)
• Functional skills – Knowledge and well familiar with measuring instruments, Knowledge of fabrication processes, awareness of NDT Testings. Well understood machining & fabrication drawings along with code and relative standards.
• Behavioural Skills – Good Communication, Creativity, Decision making, good organizer, positive attitude, smart worker, knowing customer needs, capable to understand & resolve work related issues.
