Job summary

Siemens Energy is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to develop engineering 3D models using E3D within the Globus Teamcenter environment. This role involves creating models and drawings for rotating equipment, piping, and structural systems, ensuring compliance with specifications.

Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

To develop engineering 3D Model using Latest E3D with in Globus Teamcenter environment for rotating equipment packages, balance of plant systems, piping, structural, tubing designing etc. (Package and system related models / drawings for rotating equipment’s like Reciprocating Compressors /Turbine/Expander systems, process systems, equipment’s, consoles / aux systems, hookups, skids etc. in compliance to Dresser-Rand A Siemens Business and within applicable specifications.). Models, drawings, crafting shall be based on client’s / consultant’s requirement, order specifications and other applicable technical specifications, formats etc. Generation of catalogs and handle E3D Admin Role. To provide back-office engineering support for engineering, drafting and document control activities for different Siemens-Energy operations globally and Workshop, Vendor, Client site supports basis project needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• 3D model development for equipment and systems including piping, piping supports, valves, structures, instrumentation hook ups.
• Piping design, routing, piping GA & Isometric drawing preparation with MTO
• Development / piping Isometrics, structural development drawing and MTO (Bill of Material)
• Interpretation of simulations studies and implementation of study results (Stress Analysis, Pulsation analysis etc.)
• Basic calculations for pipe, sizing, pressure drops and other ripping related sizes
• Liaise with client / Consultant - for technical matters, drawing approval, 3-D Model review
• Support fabrication and packaging at Siemens-Energy shop / site
• Exposure to ERP System i.e. Oracle, SAP etc. will be added advantage

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficient in designing package with relevant experience of 2 to 10 years.
• Knowledge – B31.3 / B 31.3 piping compose
• Must know NX and able to work independently to develop General arrangement Drawing / Piping Plan / piping isometric / Supports etc
• Expertise on 3D modeling of packages on NX is required.
• Knowledge & exposure of international standards / code like: ASME / ASTM / API / AWS, relevant to Piping.
• Preparation of - piping components specification for procurement, piping drawings and MTO
• Basic knowledge of – Rotating equipment compressor/ Pumps & other Mechanical items, engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings
• Reading and Preparation of Package Engineering drawings like General Arrangement, Foundation Plan, piping plan and piping isometric drawings.
