Job summary

Siemens Energy in India seeks a Supply Chain professional to manage end-to-end order execution for generator components, coordinate component ordering, and collaborate with engineering to ensure timely deliveries.

You will handle SAP/OPP processes, BOMs, and export coordination with US teams, bringing 4+ years of SAP experience and a collaborative, independent work style.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of SAP experience and strong computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of BOMs, drawing structures, and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage order execution for Generator, CPSL, and ship-direct items for new apparatus projects.
• Coordinate component ordering by responding to PCMs.
• Interface with engineering and supply management to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Support export documentation and coordination for parts with US-based teams.
• Extend material masters in SAP/OPP for planning and BOMs; issue requisitions in SAP/OPP.

Start your day by checking your email to identify any urgent issues that require immediate attention. Next, run standard reports to assess the status of materials needed to support your global customers. Your day then involves taking action to resolve open issues, processing deliveries, and sending updates to customers and teammates.

How You’ll Make An Impact.

• Order Execution: Manage the execution of orders for Generator, CPSL, and "ship direct" items for new apparatus projects.
• Component Ordering: Respond to PCMs to drive the ordering of required components.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with engineering and supply management colleagues to achieve on-time deliveries.
• Export Documentation: Support US based MLS to prepare export documents for shipping parts to various international project sites, ensuring compliance with US customs rules and regulations within Siemens Energy Operating Companies in the US.
• Export Coordination: Coordinate export activities for parts with US based MLS and customs brokers or authorized forwarding companies as required.
• SAP/OPP Management: Extend material masters in SAP/OPP for planning the supply of materials using MRP, lead time, planning, and BOMs.
• Requisition Issuance: Issue requisitions to Procurement Specialists in SAP/OPP to obtain generator parts.
• Product Availability: Review and report on product availability to ensure sufficient products are on hand to meet on-time delivery against customer demand.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient with computers, especially the use of SAP, with 4+ years of SAP experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of BOMs, drawing structures, and engineering specifications.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic knowledge of generator components and systems.
• Experience: Four years of successful experience in a related field.
• Multitasking: Demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills with local and international colleagues.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve problems.
• Work Style: Independent, but team-oriented work style.
• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done on time, with high quality and minimal direct supervision.
• Skills: Expert written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills are a must.
