Job summary

Siemens Energy India seeks a mechanical engineer to develop 3D models for rotating equipment in E3D/Inventor within the Globus Teamcenter environment. You will craft 3D models, piping layouts, GA drawings, and MTOs in accordance with client specs and international codes.

You will collaborate with global teams to support engineering, drafting, and document control activities, and gain exposure to ERP systems like Oracle and SAP. Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of piping standards B31.3 and piping composition.
• AutoCAD proficiency for general arrangement and piping plans.
• Expertise in 3D modeling on Inventor, E3D, and PDS.
• Familiar with piping stress analysis on K pipe or CESAR.
• Understanding of ASME/ASTM/API/Welding codes relevant to piping.
• Experience with world-class consultants' specifications (EIL/TEIL/UHDE etc.).
• Reading and preparing GA drawings, P&ID, isometrics, and MTO.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models for equipment and systems in E3D.
• Prepare piping material specifications for procurement.
• Create package GA drawings and piping isometrics with MTO.
• Develop PID in COMOS/AutoCAD.
• Prepare structural drawings and isometrics.
• Review with client/consultant for approvals.
• Support fabrication and site packaging.
• Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) is an advantage.

A Snapshot of Your Day

To develop engineering 3D Model using Latest E3D with in Globus Teamcenter environment for rotating equipment packages, balance of plant systems, piping, structural, tubing designing etc. (Package and system related models / drawings for rotating equipment’s like Reciprocating Compressors /Turbine/Expander systems, process systems, equipment’s, consoles / aux systems, hookups, skids etc.in compliance to Dresser-Rand A Siemens Business and within applicable specifications.). Models, drawings, crafting shall be based on client’s / consultant’s requirement, order specifications and other applicable technical specifications, formats etc. Generation of catalogs and handle E3D Admin Role. To provide back-office engineering support for engineering, drafting and document control activities for different Siemens-Energy operations globally and Workshop, Vendor, Client site supports basis project needs

How You’ll Make An Impact

• 3D model development for equipment and systems including piping, piping supports, valves, structures, instrumentation, hook ups in E3D.
• To prepare engineering specifications of Piping material/ valves for procurement
• Package composition on AutoCAD (General arrangement / layout / cable layout etc.)
• Piping design, routing, piping GA & Isometric drawing preparation with MTO
• Development of PID in Comos / AutoCAD
• Development / piping Isometrics, structural development drawing and MTO (Bill of Material)
• Interpretation of simulations studies and implementation of study results (Stress Analysis, Pulsation analysis etc.)
• Basic calculations for pipe, sizing, pressure drops and other ripping related sizes
• Liaise with client / Consultant - for technical matters, drawing approval, 3-D Model review
• Support fabrication and packaging at Siemens-Energy shop / site
• Exposure to ERP System i.e. Oracle, SAP etc. will be added advantage

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or experience in mechanical engineering, proficient in designing systems and 3D models.
• Knowledge – B31.3 / B 31.3 piping compose
• Must know AutoCAD and able to work independently to develop General arrangement Drawing / Piping Plan / piping isometric / Supports etc
• Expertise on 3 D modeling of packages on Inventor / E3D / PDS is required.
• Exposure of Piping stress analysis on K pipe / CESAR
• Detailed knowledge of consultant’s piping specifications with Valves, industrial piping compose & fabrication
• Knowledge & exposure of international standards / code like: ASME / ASTM / API / AWS, relevant to Piping.
• Preparation of - piping components specification for procurement, piping drawings and MTO
• Experience/ Exposure to work with & interpretation of technical specifications of - world-class consultants like: EIL / TEIL / UHDE / LTC / Technip / Shell DEP / SAUDI ARAMCO / PDO etc.
• Basic knowledge of – Rotating equipment compressor/ Pumps & other Mechanical items, engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings
• Reading and Preparation of Package Engineering drawings like P&I Diagram, General Arrangement, Foundation Plan, piping plan and piping isometric drawings.
