Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations professional to oversee inventory accuracy, receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.

You will coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics, drive FIFO/FEFO compliance, manage SAP MM/WMS transactions, MIS reporting and 5S/housekeeping to ensure safe, efficient material flow.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–4 years in warehouse operations management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or postgraduate qualifications.
  • Proficiency in SAP MM / Warehouse Management System.
  • Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation.
  • Excellent documentation and record management.
  • Commitment to 5S and safety standards.
  • Good cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through daily stock verification and cycle counting.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of materials.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO principles and maintain inventory traceability.
  • Process warehouse transactions accurately in SAP (MM/WMS).
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse MIS reports.
  • Verify customer orders and coordinate dispatch as per delivery schedule.
  • Monitor material picking and ensure correct material is dispatched.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics teams.
  • Ensure timely GRN, stock posting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain warehouse layout, storage locations and material identification.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, ISO procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping within the warehouse.
  • Ensure safe material handling practices and compliance with EHS requirements.
  • Supervise contract labour and optimize manpower utilization.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining required records.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse productivity and efficiency.
