Paras Health in India seeks an OT Technician to assist in the operating theatre, ensuring sterility and readiness for procedures. You will support surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff, maintain equipment and records, and help with instrument handling.

The role emphasizes strict infection control, proper waste disposal, inventory management, and adherence to hospital policies. On-site position in India, with responsibilities spanning from pre-op setup to post-op cleanup and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the operation theatre (OT) before surgical procedures.
• Ensure the OT is clean, disinfected, and ready for surgery.
• Check the availability and functioning of OT equipment and instruments.
• Arrange surgical instruments, gowns, drapes, and other required materials.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain proper sterilization procedures.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and arrange surgical trays according to the type of surgery.
• Check the availability of sutures, dressings, consumables, and other surgical supplies.
• Assist in positioning patients safely on the operating table.
• Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Monitor the availability of oxygen, suction, and other essential OT equipment.
• Assist the anaesthesia team as required and under appropriate supervision.
• Maintain records of surgical procedures and OT consumables.
• Count and verify surgical instruments and materials according to hospital protocols.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.
• Clean and prepare the OT after each surgical procedure.
• Maintain OT registers, sterilization records, and equipment checklists.
• Check emergency equipment and report any malfunction immediately.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines.
• Maintain adequate stock of OT instruments and consumables.
