Qualifications

Primary Skill Sets:

• Proficiency in Oracle Database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle Database versions "11g", "12c", and "19c".
• Strong understanding of Oracle Database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
• Experience in database backup and recovery strategies, including Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, and flashback technologies.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database security best practices and implementation of security controls, such as encryption, access controls, and auditing.
• Expertise in Oracle Database installation, patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring, management, and automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot database issues, diagnose performance problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience in designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle RAC.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Secondary Skill Sets:

• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Autonomous Database services.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata Database Machine administration and management.
• Knowledge of database virtualization technologies, such as Oracle VM and Oracle Container Database (CDB).
• Understanding of database consolidation and multi-tenancy concepts using Oracle Multitenant architecture.
• Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with database performance monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager Diagnostics Pack.
• Exposure to other database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server, is a plus.
• Understanding of database cloud migration strategies and methodologies.
• Certification in Oracle Database administration, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), is desirable.
