Job summary

INGRAM MICRO PLATFORM TECHNOLOGY INDIA PVT LTD is seeking an Asst. Manager WH Operations to lead day‑to‑day warehouse activities in Thane.

You will oversee receipt, storage and dispatch, drive process improvements and mentor a team of 6–8 direct and 15–20 indirect staff. The role requires 7–10 years of warehouse management experience, preferably with e‑commerce or technology sectors, and exposure to data analytics.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in e‑commerce or technology with data analytics exposure.
• Graduate in any discipline; management graduates in logistics/supply chain preferred.
• Experience in setting up warehouses desirable.
• Certification in Project Management, Six Sigma, Lean concepts, 5S is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
• Supervise, organize, train warehouse staff and manage staffing levels and productivity.
• Develop warehouse systems by determining handling, storage, equipment utilization and shipping methods.
• Manage costs vs budget; prepare Capex and Opex budgets for warehouse operations.
• Foster a safe, healthy work environment and ensure compliance with regulations.

JD for Asst. Manager WH Operations,

• Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics. Position Responsible for managing with around 6-8 direct and 15-20 indirect HC.
• Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory and shipping methods
• Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Responsible for warehouse Operation cost vs Budget Cost, make warehouse budget for Capex and Operation expenses.
• Min 7 - 10 years of warehouse management experience, ideally with an e-commerce or Technology company with some data analytics experience.
• Education: Graduate in any discipline with Management Graduates in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
• Prior experience of setting up warehouses is desirable.
• Certification or Expertise: Project Management, Six Sigma , Lean concept, 5S *ASCM CLTD & KnoWerX PGP CWMP (Certified Warehouse Management Professional) * will be preferred.
