Job summary

ATA is seeking a Manager – Ocean Operations to lead end-to-end ocean import/export for FCL and LCL, coordinating with customers, carriers, and partners to ensure on-time cargo movement.

You will drive process improvements, mentor the team, manage documentation and regulatory compliance, and optimize costs while maintaining service excellence. This role demands 12–15 years in ocean freight with leadership experience and a track record of reliable global logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce or related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Logistics & SCM preferred.
• 12–15 years in Ocean Freight operations; 4–6 years in managerial role.
• Strong exposure to Import & Export Ocean Operations (FCL/LCL) and customer-facing activities.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Ocean Import and Export ops for FCL and LCL shipments.
• Ensure booking, execution, documentation, customs coordination, and cargo delivery.
• Monitor vessel schedules, shipment milestones, cargo movement, and timeliness.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, CFS, ICDs, transporters, and customs brokers.
• Manage shipment exceptions, escalations, and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor, develop, and motivate the Ocean Operations team; drive process improvements.
• Drive cost optimization and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
