Job summary

Manipal Technologies Limited in Navi Mumbai seeks a senior Contract Manufacturing leader to shape the strategy for specialty chemicals, build a network of manufacturing partners across India, and onboard external manufacturers. You will lead technical, commercial, quality, EHS and financial due diligence, and drive long-term manufacturing agreements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years in specialty chemicals.
• Proven success in contract, toll, or external manufacturing.
• Strong techno-commercial understanding of chemical manufacturing.
• Experience identifying, evaluating, and onboarding partners.
• Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in technology transfer, scale-up and product commercialization.
• Exposure to global customers or international markets preferred.
• Understanding of quality, EHS and regulatory requirements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to scale a business.

Candidate Profile

1. A Chemical / Mechanical Engineer with about 10-15 years of experience in Specialty Chemicals / Fine Chemicals / Performance Chemicals / Chemical Intermediates.
2. Strong Experience in Contract Manufacturing / Toll Manufacturing / Custom Manufacturing / External Manufacturing.
3. Strong Techno-Commercial understanding of Chemical Manufacturing.
4. Proven Experience in Partner Identification, Qualification & Management.
5. Strong Negotiation, Commercial & Stakeholder Management Skills.
6. Experience in Technology Transfer, Scale-Up & New Product Commercialisation.
7. Exposure to Global Customers / International Markets Preferred.
8. Strong Understanding of Quality, EHS & Regulatory Requirements.
9. Entrepreneurial Mindset with the Ability to Build & Scale a Business.
