Job summary

PI Industries Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager Technology Transfer to lead the scale-up and commercialization of new molecules from development to manufacturing at our Udaipur facilities.

You will translate lab processes into robust commercial operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The role requires steering cross-functional teams and delivering successful plant start-ups.

Qualifications

• 13-15 years of experience in Technology Transfer, Process Development, Scale-up, Commercialization, or Manufacturing Support.
• Proven experience in Agrochemicals, Fine Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, or Pharma API industries.
• Strong understanding of process engineering, pilot plant operations, chemical manufacturing, and process safety.
• Hands-on experience in commercial-scale trials, technology transfer, and plant commissioning.
• Exposure to HAZOP, MOC, risk assessment, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple commercialization projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfer activities from lab and pilot plant to commercial manufacturing.
• Plan and execute scale-up studies, commercial trials, process validation, and plant start-ups.
• Review and finalize Basic Engineering Packages, BFDs, PFDs, utility requirements, equipment sizing, and process documentation.
• Define critical process parameters and establish SOPs for commercial operations.
• Support process safety initiatives through HAZOP studies, MOC reviews, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations.
• Develop solutions for solvent recovery, off-gas handling, process optimization, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Process Development, Engineering, Operations, EHS, and TAG teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop control logic requirements for DCS implementation and automation projects.
• Ensure seamless technology handover to manufacturing teams and provide post-commercialization support.
• Finalize BOMs, support budgeting activities, and maintain effective cost controls for assigned projects.
• Train and mentor process engineers, supervisors, and plant teams on new technologies and processes.
