Job Purpose

To oversee and manage day-to-day operational activities, ensure efficient deployment of manpower and resources, maintain service quality, monitor operational costs and ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Plan, supervise and monitor daily waste collection, transportation and site operations.
• Ensure smooth execution of operational activities across multiple client locations.
• Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Monitor daily work schedules, route planning, vehicle deployment and resource utilisation.

2. Manpower Management

• Manage supervisors, field staff, drivers, workers and other operational personnel.
• Ensure adequate manpower deployment and attendance at all assigned sites.
• Coordinate recruitment requirements, workforce allocation, training and performance monitoring with the HR department.
• Resolve operational staff issues and maintain workforce discipline.

3. Client and Site Management

• Maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors and site representatives.
• Address client complaints, operational escalations and service-related issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to client-specific requirements.
• Prepare and review operational reports, service records and performance metrics.

4. Cost Control and Resource Planning

• Monitor operational expenditure, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance and manpower costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement corrective measures.
• Track productivity, resource utilisation and operational budgets.

5. Compliance, Safety and Quality

• Ensure compliance with applicable waste management regulations, safety procedures and client requirements.
• Maintain operational records, checklists, incident reports and audit documentation.
• Promote safe working practices and conduct regular safety briefings

6. Reporting and Performance Monitoring

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational MIS reports.
• Monitor KPIs related to attendance, productivity, collection efficiency, client complaints and operational costs.
• Coordinate with HR, Accounts, Procurement, Sales and senior management.
• Recommend process improvements and corrective actions.
