Job summary

Burnt Sugar is seeking an Operations Executive to manage daily pastry cloud kitchen operations in Worli, Mumbai. This hands-on role focuses on keeping production on track, ensuring timely order dispatch, inventory control, and vendor management.

You will liaise between kitchen staff and management to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate with Swiggy, Zomato, and direct orders, handle inquiries, and support HR and admin tasks.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in F&B operations or cloud kitchen management.
• Experience with Swiggy/Zomato is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and share daily production/operational plans with kitchen team.
• Ensure orders are packed, labelled, and handed to delivery partners on time.
• Coordinate order dispatch across Swiggy, Zomato, and direct orders.
• Coordinate with logistics partners/drivers for on-time delivery.
• Monitor order status and resolve delays or issues promptly.
• Maintain vendor contacts, inventory records, and compliance documents.

About the Role

We are hiring an Operations Executive to manage and coordinate the daily running of our pastry cloud kitchen. This is a ground-up operations role you will be responsible for making sure that kitchen production runs smoothly, orders go out on time, inventory is under control, vendors are managed, and the team is aligned.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys problem-solving. You will be the link between the kitchen team and the management, and your work directly impact how efficiently the brand operates and how well we serve our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and share daily production plans with the kitchen team based on incoming orders.
• During your working hours, ensure all orders are packed correctly, labelled, and handed over to delivery partners on time.
• Coordinate order dispatch across platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, and direct/WhatsApp orders.
• Coordinate with logistical partner/ drivers for order delivery.
• Willing to learn how to boost Swiggy/Zomato/WhatsApp order.
• Monitor live order status and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
• Handle order cancellations, modifications, and customer complaints promptly and professionally.

Inventory & Vendor Management

• Maintain daily inventory records for all raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Track stock levels and raise purchase orders in advance to avoid any production stoppages.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of ingredients and materials.
• Ensure the brand gets the best price. Negotiate pricing with vendors, provide comparison quotes, and place order with head chefs approval.
• Track wastage and spoilage, identify root causes, and suggest corrective measures.
• Maintenance of equipment's to be coordinated and managed.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain daily reports covering orders, production output, expenses, and wastage.
• Prepare weekly and monthly summaries for management review.
• Maintain records for compliance, including FSSAI documentation and staff attendance.
• Assist in onboarding new kitchen staff and maintaining HR records.

What We Are Looking For

• 2-3 years of experience in F&B operations, cloud kitchen management, or a similar operations role.
• Prior experience working with food delivery platforms (Swiggy, Zomato) is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and data organization.
• Strong organizational skills you manage multiple things at once and nothing slips through.
• Excellent communication skills able to work with kitchen staff, vendors, delivery partners, and management.
• Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
• A proactive, go getter approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting priorities.
• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
