Job summary

SortMyScene is seeking a hands-on Operations Executive to manage on-ground execution, manpower coordination, product deployment, and cash handling at events in Goregaon. This role is suitable for freshers to candidates with up to 1 year of experience, with immediate joiners preferred.

You will coordinate with event teams, vendors, and clients, ensuring smooth operations before, during, and after events. Willingness to travel to Goregaon and work 6 days a week is required.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable travelling to Goregaon and working from the Goregaon location 6 days a week.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-ground operations at events.
• Coordinate with event teams, clients, vendors and stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth execution before, during, and after events; troubleshoot on-site.
• Manage on-ground manpower; assign shifts and track performance.
• Handle product deployment, movement of equipment and inventory records.
• Perform daily/event-wise cash reconciliation and maintain cash logs.
• Prepare and share event-wise operational reports with management.

About The Role

SortMyScene is looking for a hands-on and responsible Operations Executive to manage on-ground execution, manpower coordination, product deployment, and cash management at events.

This role is ideal for a fresher to 1 year of experience who is comfortable working on the ground, coordinating with multiple people, handling operational responsibilities, and taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

On-Ground Operations

• Manage and supervise day-to-day on-ground operations at events.
• Coordinate with event teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth execution of operations before, during, and after events.
• Be present on-site to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

Manpower Management

• Coordinate and manage on-ground manpower/executives.
• Allocate responsibilities and shifts based on event requirements.
• Ensure manpower is present, punctual, and performing assigned duties.
• Track attendance, deployment, and performance of on-ground staff.
• Act as the point of contact for the on-ground team during events.

Product Deployment

• Manage the movement and deployment of products/equipment at events.
• Ensure products are delivered, set up, deployed, and collected as per schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory deployed and returned.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for timely movement of products.
• Ensure products are handled safely and responsibly.

Cash Management & Reconciliation

• Handle and monitor cash collections during events.
• Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and collections.
• Perform daily/event-wise cash reconciliation.
• Ensure collected cash is accounted for and handed over as per company process.
• Identify and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain proper documentation for all cash-related activities.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain event-wise operational reports and trackers.
• Share regular updates with the management team.
• Track deployment, collections, manpower, inventory, and event-related requirements.
• Ensure all post-event documentation and reconciliation is completed on time.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of experience in operations, event management, field operations, retail, logistics, or a similar role.
• Freshers are welcome.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable managing people and working on-ground.
• Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets.
• Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to handle pressure and solve problems quickly.
• Willingness to work at events and manage operational requirements as needed.
• Must be comfortable travelling to Goregaon and working from the Goregaon location 6 days a week.
• Flexibility to work event-based hours when required.
