Job summary

Lupin in Pune is seeking a capable Operational Excellence Lead to drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across the site. The role focuses on reducing costs, improving process responsiveness, and aligning continuous improvement activities with organizational goals.

The successful candidate will coach teams on Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, coordinate belt trainings, and lead kaizen events while ensuring 5S and cGMP compliance. Experience in pharma/biotech is a plus.

Qualifications

• Green belt certification from premier institute (ASQ/ISI/BMGI)
• Experience in Pharma/Biotech environment is an added advantage
• Hands-on leadership in Operational Excellence and Lean initiatives

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement Operational Excellence programs to meet KPIs and reduce costs
• Build Lean culture and provide CI leadership for plant accessibility and efficiency
• Coach and train Lean / Six Sigma tools and methodologies across the site
• Plan and coordinate belt certification trainings
• Organize and facilitate kaizen / Rapid Improvement Events
• Conduct maturity assessments and develop action plans across the organization
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and 5S in work areas
• Track and report OE programs for the site
• Apply statistical analysis and visualization tools (MINITAB, JMP, Power BI)

Job description

• Responsible to drive and implement operational excellence program to meet Organization’s goals & KPIs.
• Focus will be to decrease operational cost, streamline processes, improve responsiveness and align continuous improvement activities within the site.
• Responsible for building Lean Culture and provide Leadership in the area of CI for plant to achieve and sustain high level of effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide coaching & training on Lean / Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
• Plan and coordinate trainings for belt certifications.
• Organize and facilitate kaizen / Rapid Improvement Events.
• Conduct maturity assessment and develop action plans and work through implementations across the organization.
• Hands-on experience with driving Operational excellence initiatives
• Minimum green belt certified from premier institute like ASQ, ISI, BMGI etc.
• Experience of working in Pharma/Biotech company is an added advantage.
• Track and report the site operational excellence programs.
• Ensure the high compliance of discipline, cGMP and 5S in the work areas.
• Should have command on statistical analysis and visualization software like MINITAB, JMP, Power BI etc.
• Should have knowledge on pharmaceutical quality guidelines ICH, EU and US-FDA, pharmaceutical quality management system, upstream and downstream processing etc.
