Job summary

Spectra Medical India seeks an OR Technician to support hair transplant surgeries. You will prepare and set up the OT, sterilize instruments, assist the doctor during FUE/FUT procedures, and help with patient preparation and graft handling.

You will maintain sterilization logs, stock OT supplies, coordinate with front-office, and ensure infection-control protocols are followed to support safe, smooth procedures.

• Prepare and set up the OT before every hair transplant procedure.
• Ensure all instruments, consumables, equipment, and surgical materials are available and sterilized.
• Assist the doctor during FUE/FUT hair transplant procedures as required.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, shaving, marking, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Handle grafts carefully during extraction, sorting, counting, preservation, and implantation.
• Assist in preparation of solutions and consumables as instructed by the doctor.
• Maintain proper handling and storage of hair grafts to ensure graft viability.
• Clean and decontaminate all surgical instruments immediately after the procedure as per the prescribed protocol.
• Perform proper washing, drying, inspection and packing of instruments before sterilization.
• Operate the autoclave and carry out sterilization of instruments as per the clinic's SOP and manufacturer's instructions.
• Maintain autoclave records, sterilization logs and indicator records as required.
• Monitor and maintain OT hygiene, sterilization, and infection-control protocols.
• Ensure all surgical instruments are cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and properly stored after each procedure.
• Maintain OT stock and inform the concerned person about low-stock or required consumables.
• Assist in maintaining patient records, procedure sheets, graft counts, and OT documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and instructions given by the doctor and management.
• Coordinate with the front-office, and other clinical teams for smooth patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and immediately inform the doctor or concerned medical personnel.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and readiness of the OT before and after every procedure.
