Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Theater: set up instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgeries; ensure sterilization and optimal condition.
• Provide direct support to surgeons and nurses during cardiac procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures; monitor equipment for smooth procedures.
• Post-Operative Duties: clean and disinfect operating theater; sterilize instruments; report equipment issues.
• Collaboration and Coordination: work with surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and timely supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of the Operating Theater
  • Set up the operating theater with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgeries
  • Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and in optimal working condition
  • Assist in positioning and draping patients for surgery, following strict aseptic techniques
• Assistance During Surgeries
  • Provide direct support to surgeons and nurses during cardiac procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
  • Monitor and manage surgical equipment during operations, ensuring smooth and efficient procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment in the operating theater throughout the surgery
• Post-Operative Duties
  • Assist in cleaning and disinfecting the operating theater after each surgery
  • Sterilize instruments and prepare them for the next procedure
  • Document and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department
• Collaboration and Coordination
  • Work closely with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and effective teamwork
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely availability of required supplies and equipment
