• Inventory & Stock Management: monitor stock levels of drugs, gases, disposables, and emergency supplies with logs and expiry checks.
• Emergency & Post-Op Support: assist in room turnover and PACU workflows as required.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician to join our healthcare client's surgical team in Trichy. The successful candidate will work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and operation theatre (OT) nurses to ensure the safe, efficient, and smooth functioning of anesthesia equipment and perioperative environments.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Preparation & Setup:

Inspect, assemble, calibrate, and test anesthesia machines, vaporizers, ventilators, breathing circuits, and patient monitoring systems prior to procedures.

Prepare and organize specialized equipment, airway carts, and consumable supplies for various surgical procedures.

Intraoperative & Perioperative Support:

Assist the anesthesiologist during induction, airway management (e.g., intubation setup), and vascular line placements.

Monitor equipment performance and patient vital signs support systems, immediately reporting any technical irregularities or equipment alarms to the medical team.

Maintenance & Infection Control:

Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain all anesthesia equipment and accessories post-procedure in strict compliance with hospital infection control protocols.

Perform routine troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions; coordinate timely repairs with the biomedical engineering department or external vendors.

Inventory & Stock Management:

Monitor stock levels of anesthesia drugs, gases, single-use disposables, and emergency cart supplies, maintaining accurate logs and checking expiry dates.

Emergency & Post-Op Support:

Assist in rapid room turnover between surgeries to maintain the operational schedule.

Help manage emergency resuscitation equipment and support the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU/recovery room) workflows as required.

Essential Qualifications & Education

Educational Background: Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT), Diploma in Anesthesia Technology, or a B. Sc. in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology (B. Sc. OTT/AOTT).

Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands‑on hospital or multi‑specialty surgical center experience. (Fresh graduates with strong internship exposure from recognized institutions may also be considered).

Certifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
