Job summary

Tenneco Inc. in India is seeking an experienced SCM professional to manage end-to-end procurement for new projects and launches. You will coordinate with engineering and project teams, release purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time material availability.

The role requires strong Excel and SAP/ERP skills, plus the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate with global and local stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor’s in supply chain, engineering, operations or logistics.
• Experience in SCM, procurement, material planning, import/export or logistics.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, scheduling, inventory management and logistics.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Strong communication, supplier follow-up and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement activities for new projects from requirement through production launch.

• Import & Customs Clearance and Logistics & Dispatch Management.

• JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Master Degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in SCM, procurement, material planning, import/export, or logistics, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Experience in new project procurement and supplier coordination.
• Understanding of import shipment and customs clearance processes.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, scheduling, material planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Good communication, supplier follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and critical project requirements.
• Strong ownership with a focus on on-time material availability and zero production disruption.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers, logistics partners, CHA/customs brokers, and cross-functional internal teams.
