Job description

ROLE

• Monitor project data using SCADA, data monitoring platforms, and diagnostic tools while adhering to electrical safety standards and grid regulations
• Oversee daily operations of ground‑mount/utility‑scale solar PV plants according to schedule
• Identify and resolve performance issues to maximize generation
• Maintain breakdown sheets, customer complaint registers, and module cleaning sheets for data analytics
• Coordinate with analytics team to track KPIs such as PR, plant availability, and generation guarantee
• Maintain vendor records, handle queries, and submit invoices
• Follow up with customers for payment collection
• Conduct O&M audits before project handover and document punch points
• Keep records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and performance logs
• Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance activities
• Update customer complaint registers daily and track closure against target dates
• Ensure IMS adherence for projects
• Create and update weekly trackers for failures of inverters, sensors, modules, and other equipment
• Manage spares inventory and track inventory levels
• Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and plan corrective actions
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support, warranty claims, and extended warranty planning
• Identify low‑performance sites and perform detailed root‑cause analysis to improve performance
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, and switchgear
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment

REQUIREMENTS

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Renewable Energy
• 3 to 5 years of experience in solar PV, preferably in O&M
• Strong technical coordination and report‑writing abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to resolve site‑related technical issues within target timelines
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
• Adaptability to work effectively in an operations environment
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and protection systems
• Experience with data monitoring platforms, SCADA, and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and grid regulations
• Experience in managing vendor relationships, invoice processing, and payment follow‑up
• Competence in maintaining records, documentation, and audit processes
• Ability to manage spare parts inventory and coordinate warranty claims.
