Job summary

Adani is recruiting an experienced O&M Engineer for solar plants in Telangana. The role focuses on developing long-term maintenance plans, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring high availability of equipment.

You will oversee site operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of solar O&M experience, a Telangana C-License (33–132 kV), and hands-on SCADA experience.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics
• More than 5–10 years in solar O&M with Telangana government C-License for 33 KV to 132 KV capacity

Responsibilities

• Develop a long-term O&M plan for the solar plant.
• Develop innovative ideas to increase plant efficiency.
• Conduct continual site assessment and due diligence analysis.
• Maintain plant availability above 99%.
• Coordinate liaison with government officials.
• Oversee complete O&M of the allotted site.
• Responsible for breakdown and preventive maintenance of all equipment.
• Document BM and PM as per company format.
• Monitor SCADA and report Daily Generation to HO/O&M head.
• Manage labor, contractors, and staff for optimal output.
• Execute maintenance activities per schedule.
• Analyze machine faults and generation data.
• Take corrective action after fault frequency analysis via SCADA.
• Maintain engineering records and ensure compliance with work schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with O&M subcontractor to ensure full functionality and energy guarantees.
• Prepare and execute module cleaning, PM, SCADA monitoring and daily performance reviews.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and replenishment.
• Coordinate with techno-commercial and logistics for stores movement.
• Conduct site JMRs timely and expedites fault resolution with OEMs.
• Enforce safety and environmental requirements during project execution.
• Inspect solar site for safe working conditions and stop-work authority.
• Ensure QA/QC for O&M activities is implemented.
• Document lessons learned and schedule meetings and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop a long-term O & M plan for sustainable running of the Solar Plant.
• Develop Innovative ideas for increasing the efficiency of the plant.
• Continual Site assessment and Due Diligence analysis
• Maintain plant availability to more than 99%.
• Liaison with government officials.
• To look after the complete O&M of the allotted site
• Responsible for Breakdown and Preventive Maintenance of all Equipment
• Documentation of plant BM, PM according to company format
• Monitoring SCADA and Reporting of Daily Generation Report of Plant to Head O&M
• Handling Labor, Contractor and Staff for their optimum Output to company
• Executing the Maintenance activity with respect to Scheduled activity
• Analysis of the machine fault and generation
• Taking the corrective action after analysis the fault frequency through SCADA system
• Maintains engineering records, lists and reports as required to ensure compliance with the work schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to design specification and to ensure engineering problems are monitored and resolved, Managing site team, administration, safety & security, Coordination with SCCL team for clearance of bills check the day wise spare consumption Supervision of O&M activities conducted by the technicians, helpers of the subcontractor /Self O&M at the sites.
• Coordinate with O&M subcontractor to ensure that the sites are fully functional, and energy guarantees are maintained. Conduct regular/Surprise visits to the sites to check efficacy of O&M activities carried out by the subcontractor/Self O&M team
• Prepare and execute the module cleaning, PM works, SCADA Monitoring, Daily observation and Operational excellency related works. Daily review on plant performance with site team as well HO team. Maintain the cost budget target and implement the cost control measures at site level. Shadow removal work to be done with team. Insurance related communication to be done when required. Daily plan Vs Actual discussion to be conducted. Plant performance related KPI's like CUF, PR, Energy target etc. to be discussed on daily basis as per target Vs Actual. Plant, Grid Availability to be reached as per target. Release periodic reports and returns to Client.
• Maintenance of spare parts and critical spares. Replenishment of spare parts and major assembly on their usage. Maintenance of inventory
• Coordinate with Techno commercial and logistics departments for movement of stores required at the sites.
• Coordinate and conduct of JMR of the sites in timely manner.
• Expedite with the OEMs and the subcontractors for immediate resolution of any fault at the site affecting the energy generation or safety of the plant.
• Implement and enforce safety and environmental requirements during project execution, according to company, local and national rules and regulations.
• Continually inspect solar site to ensure safe working environment is maintained and relay Stop Work Authority.
• Ensure that the Quality Assurance/Quality Control system related to O&M activities is implemented and followed.
• Address safety incidents and potential hazards and improve processes to prevent incidents from occurring.
• Document and keep a record of all “Lessons Learned” throughout the year to be applied to future sites.
• Schedule and attend meetings, conference calls and company events.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech (Electrical Engg graduate / ECE Engg graduate )
• More than 5 to 10 Years in solar O&M. With Telangana government certified C - License with 33 KV to 132 KV capacity.
