Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks a skilled engineer to provide product definition engineering support for hydro turbine and generator components. You will work on 3D/2D drawings, validate assemblies and drawings per ISO/ASME standards, and collaborate with customers to implement improvements.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, CAD experience (NX/AutoCAD), familiarity with ENOVIA/Teamcenter PLM, and excellent communication with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience in reviewing manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, surface finish and welding.
• Familiar with ASME/ISO/AWS standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work flexible timings.
• Hands-on CAD experience with NX (preferred) and AutoCAD (preferred).
• Experience with PLM platforms like Enovia, Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Product definition engineering support for hydro turbine and generator components.

• Validate General Arrangements, Part & Assembly drawings, interface drawings, casting/forging/manufacturing drawings.
• Validate fittings (standard parts library) per ISO and ASME standards.
• Identify improvements based on customer feedback and implement with the team.
• Build positive, collaborative relations with teams and customers.
• Conduct internal quality checks to ensure defect-free deliverables.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Product definition engineering support for Hydro turbine and generator components.
• Support includes both 3D and 2D creation / update following the customer and ISO standards.
• Validate General Arrangements, Part & Assembly Drawings, Interface drawings, casting/Forging/Machining drawings and knowledge in manufacturing process.
• Validate the fittings (standard parts library) as per the ISO and ASME standards.
• Identify and understand the areas of improvements based on the feedback provided by customer. Work closely with customer to implement improvement opportunities.
• Builds positive working and collaborative working relations with teams as well with customer.
• Conduct self-internal quality checks to ensure defect free deliverables.

Required key Skills (Technical Competency):

• Good in Drawing reading is must.
• Hands on experience reviewing manufacturing/Fabrication drawings.
• He/She should be well familiar with GD&T, Surface finish and welding.
• Familiar in ASME/ISO/AWS Standards
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Flexible working timings.
• Hands-on experience on CAD like NX (preferred), AutoCAD (preferred), and PLM platform like Enovia, Teamcenter to create ECO,ECR, PART, BOM, Specification & Manufacturing drawing release
• Familiar with 3D-Parametric model using expression/Skeleton / Wave Link geometry in UG NX.
• Add advantage if candidate is having domain knowledge from heavy rotating equipment – Turbine , Generator
