Job summary

EDAG Group in Pune, India seeks an exterior vehicle design engineer focused on front & rear bumper, radiator grill, claddings, and wheel arch liner. You will lead exterior development, benchmark systems, and ensure DFx considerations are integrated from concept to packaging study.

The role requires CAD proficiency, Office 365 usage, strong English communication, and experience with passenger vehicles and automotive suppliers.

Qualifications

• Exterior vehicle design and development expertise required for front/rear bumper, grill, claddings, wheel arch liner.
• Benchmarking exterior systems experience is needed.
• DFx knowledge: DFMEA, DVP, tooling and serviceability.

Responsibilities

• Apply CAD acumen to exterior concepts and packaging studies.
• Create concept proposals and assess feasibility and tooling requirements.
• Collaborate with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers on exterior design programs.

Job Description:

This will help you grow:

• Tool – NX
• Exterior Trims - Front & Rear Bumper, Radiator Grill, Claddings, Wheel Arch Liner
• Should be excellent in Exteriors Product Design & Development.
• Knowledge & Experience in Benchmarking of Exterior systems
• Experience in Style Surface Feasibility & Analysis i.e. checking Draft, Tooling Feasibility, ECE Regulation Evaluation, creating concept proposals Packaging Study with surrounding parts.
• Work on concept feasibility and prepare concept proposals. Conduct Packaging Study.
• Should have experience in DFx (Design for Mfg, assembly & Serviceability)
• Knowledge in tooling, fixings, Materials, GD&T, stack up DFMEA, DVP etc. will be preferable.
