Job summary

The Kids Clinic seeks a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee nursing staff, ensure safe patient care, and manage handovers with the nursing leadership. You will supervise rounds, maintain nurse–patient ratios, and support onboarding and ongoing training across shifts.

Your role includes enforcing professional standards, conducting staff performance checks, and driving continuous improvement through education and training for personnel.

• Takes handover form Night Shift Supervisor and reports to the Manager Nursing Consultant, before and after commencing of the shift.
• Conduct rounds of acutely ill patients with Lead Nurse Specialist i.e. induction, severe PIH, Eclampsia.
• Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
• Calculates day-today census of each floor and thereby of the center.
• Shuffles the staffs as per the requirement and competency required in specified areas. Maintains adequate Nurse: Patient ratio.
• Conducts inter-floor rotation of staffs bimonthly. Maintain the duty roster of incharges and make sure that shifts are carried out as per the duty assigned.
• Keeps a consistent check on the staff activities and motivates them.
• Performs life saving measures as and when required.
• Assists the Clinical Nurse Instructor+ Infection Control Nurse to conduct Onboard Training (OBT) and On Job Training (OJT) for Nurses.
• Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new employees and makes recommendations for employment of individuals. Assists in the orientation of new employees.
• Establishes a process model for continuous improvement and provides education and training to organization personnel as directed.
