Job description

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for deliveringect patient care, administering treatments, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient management. This requires strong clinical knowledge, empathy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provideect nursing care including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress regularly.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and medical rounds.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as required.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in patient care areas.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and home care.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for effective patient management.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical guidelines.
  • Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor patient recovery and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure optimal utilization.
  • Participate in audits, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights and ethical standards.
  • Work in rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a patient-centric approach.
  • Handle workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support senior staff and guide junior team members when required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Contribute to improving patient satisfaction and healthcare outcomes.
