Job summary

Dalvkot Utility Enterprises in Bengaluru invites applications for a Nursing role responsible for patient care, assessment, medication administration, documentation, admissions and discharges, infection control and patient safety.

You will supervise nursing staff, conduct handovers, manage attendance, mentor staff, ensure NABH compliance, monitor infection control and contribute to audits and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities: manage patients, assess, administer meds, document, educate, admit/discharge, respond to emergencies, and ensure patient safety.
• Supervisory responsibilities: supervise nursing staff, allocate duties, conduct handovers, monitor attendance, mentor staff, ensure adequate staffing.
• Update registers and documents; ensure nursing protocols are followed by staff.
• Quality & NABH: ensure NABH standards compliance, audits, documentation, quality indicators and continuous improvement.
• Infection control: monitor hand hygiene, waste segregation, isolation precautions and prevent HAIs.
• Medication safety: supervise medication practices, narcotic control, crash cart readiness and error reporting.
• Resource management: ensure supplies, equipment functionality, maintenance and inventory control.
• Training: bedside teaching, CNEs, orientation and competency validation.
• Administration: prepare rosters, verify attendance, maintain reports, coordinate with departments and participate in meetings.
• Risk & Emergency: report incidents, participate in RCA, disaster preparedness and mock drills.
• Professional conduct: ethics, confidentiality, leadership, discipline and teamwork.
• Authority: may supervise staff, allocate manpower, escalate issues and suggest actions through Nursing Superintendent.
• KPIs: patient safety, documentation, infection control, medication safety, patient satisfaction, audit compliance, staff competency and attendance.
• Additional responsibilities: perform any other duties assigned by Nursing Superintendent or Hospital Management.
• Working hours from 9 to 5; general shift, night shifts occasionally.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Clinical Responsibilities: Should take up patients and perform all regular nursing duties including assessment, medication administration, documentation, patient education, admissions/discharges, emergency response, infection control, confidentiality, and patient safety.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise nursing staff, allocate duties, conduct handovers, monitor attendance, mentor staff, ensure adequate staffing, counsel employees, oversee performance, orientation, competency assessment and appraisals.
• Regular updates of all registers, documents, and ensures all nursing protocols to be followed by fellow staffs.
• Quality & NABH: Ensure compliance with NABH standards, audits, documentation, quality indicators and continuous quality improvement.
• Infection Control: Monitor hand hygiene, biomedical waste segregation, isolation precautions and HAI prevention.
• Medication Safety: Supervise medication practices, narcotic control, crash cart readiness and medication error reporting.
• Resource Management: Ensure adequate supplies, equipment functionality, maintenance and inventory control.
• Training: Conduct bedside teaching, CNEs, orientation and competency validation.
• Administration: Prepare rosters, verify attendance, maintain reports, coordinate with departments and participate in meetings.
