Job summary

Effic Hr Consulting in India seeks an engineer with NPD and costing expertise for sheet metal/stamping industries. You will perform PPAP/APQP, PFMEA, and GD&T, with CAD proficiency, to drive new product introduction and cost optimization.

The role covers RFQ handling, drawing study, prototype development, BOM/ECN/APQP tracking, and CAPA-driven improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• NPD, Estimation/Costing, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, GD&T, CAD, Project Management and Customer Coordination are essential.
• Sheet metal/ stamping domain knowledge is highly valued.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle RFQs, negotiate commercial terms and lead cost estimation.
• Manage end-to-end New Product Development (NPD).
• Study customer drawings, assess feasibility and costs.
• Prepare product costing, BOM and process costs.
• Prototype development, trials and PPAP activities.
• Oversee BOM, ECN/ECR and APQP timelines.
• Investigate customer complaints and lead root cause analysis (CAPA).
