Job summary

Canis Talent Solutions in Chennai, India, seeks a senior veteran to lead new product development for precision-machined components across CNC Turning, VMC, HMC and related equipment. You will review drawings, define processes, select tooling and coordinate with CAM programmers for accurate CNC programming.

The role requires 10+ years in precision machining, strong GD&T, fixtures and workholding, and proven ability to drive first-piece development, cycle-time optimization and production

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in precision machining or CNC manufacturing
• Strong hands-on exposure to VMC, HMC, CNC Turning, VTL/VTC
• Good knowledge of process planning, tooling, fixtures, jigs and workholding
• Proficiency in CAM software such as MasterCAM, Siemens NX, Fusion 360 or EdgeCAM
• Knowledge of G-Code/M-Code and controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi or Mazatrol
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, fits and datums
• Experience in NPD, first-piece development, cycle-time optimization and production stabilization
• Strong problem-solving, team coordination and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development for precision-machined components across CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, VTL/VTC

• Drive RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement for development issues
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design and Tooling teams to ensure timely NPD delivery
• Train and guide CNC programmers and shop-floor engineers
