Junior Engineer-NPD

Job summary

Layam is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our NPD team in India. You will support new product development, study drawings, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Tooling, and Engineering to ensure timely product launches.

You will also assist APQP/PPAP activities, document PFMEA and Control Plans, and support prototype development, trial production, and improvements. Strong CAD knowledge and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of NPD / Product Development.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan & Process Flow.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• CAD knowledge AutoCAD / SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo / NX is an advantage.

Responsibilities
