Job summary

Metalman Auto Ltd. in Pithampur Plant invites a seasoned NPD Head (Heavy Fabrication) to lead end-to-end development of heavy fabrication projects from RFQ to SOP. The role requires 18+ years of experience and a strong background in engineering management and customer handling.

You will drive APQP, PPAP, GD&T, SPC, and ensure ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance while developing driver cabins and welded structures. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering.
• 18+ years of experience in NPD/Heavy Fabrication.
• Experience with domestic and international OEMs (USA & Europe preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) for heavy fabrication projects from RFQ to SOP.
• Independently manage domestic and global OEM customers (USA & Europe preferred).
• Drive APQP, PPAP, SPC, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and project execution.
• Develop manufacturing processes for Driver Cabins, welded structures, and construction/mining/off-road equipment.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and Supply Chain for timely project delivery.
• Ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and preferably ISO 3834-2 compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing NPD team while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Manage project risks, customer requirements, engineering changes, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Excellent understanding of APQP, PPAP, GD&T, SPC, and manufacturing quality systems.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, risk management, and customer handling skills.
• Excellent communication and fluency in English.
