Job summary

Abacus is seeking a NOC Proactive Engineer to join our Network Operations Center in Chennai. You will monitor network, server, cloud, and infrastructure health, perform trend analysis, and identify issues before they affect services.

You will collaborate with Infra, Network, Cloud, Security, and Service Desk teams, troubleshoot, escalate incidents, and generate health and capacity reports to support operational SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Net Eng or related field.
• 1–3 years of NOC/Infrastructure Operations experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching.
• Experience monitoring Windows and Linux servers.
• Experience with SolarWinds, PRTG, or LogicMonitor.
• Familiarity with VMware/Hyper-V virtualization.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with ITSM tools: ServiceNow, ConnectWise or Jira.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment.

• Experience monitoring Windows and Linux server environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as: SolarWinds/PRTG/LogicMonitor
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ConnectWise, or Jira.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment
