About the Role

The NOC Lead is responsible for managing day‑to‑day command center operations across hybrid IT environments (network, server, storage, firewall, applications, on‑prem and cloud). This role ensures alerts are monitored, triaged, escalated, and resolved within SLAs. The Lead trains and mentors the team, drives continuous improvements in SOPs and automation, and acts as the primary operational interface with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee real‑time monitoring of infrastructure, platforms, and services using Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, Grafana.
• Own adherence to SLA for alert acknowledgement, triage, and ticket lifecycle management.
• Lead severity assessment, impact analysis, and ensure appropriate escalation to L2/L3 teams or vendors.
• Drive end‑to‑end incident communication with stakeholders, business leaders, and client teams. Technical Execution
• Perform deep triage of alerts across network, compute, storage, firewall, and application layers.
• Execute SOP‑defined remediation steps, trigger automation workflows, and validate outcomes.
• Review and update SOPs, runbooks, and triage guides for accuracy and efficiency.
• Support agent deployment on internal agentic / automation platforms. Automation & Scripting
• Guide the team in building/maintaining scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Identify repetitive processes and prioritise automation opportunities.
• Review code/scripts delivered by engineers and ensure version control and documentation standards. People Management & Governance
• Mentor senior engineers and engineers; own training plans, skill upliftment, and shadowing models.
• Monitor daily operational KPIs (MTTA, MTTR, SLA adherence, volume, patterns).
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly operational dashboards, health reports, RCA summaries.
• Maintain shift rosters, ensure coverage, and act as escalation point during critical incidents.

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, Grafana, and ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred).
