Job summary

Manipal Hospitals is seeking a committed IT professional to join the NOC team in Bangalore. The role focuses on monitoring datacentre assets, coordinating with network and sysadmin teams, and maintaining robust incident and change records to ensure 24x7 operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with networking basics, datacentre hardware, servers, and AD/Group Policy, along with strong documentation skills to support continuous availability.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Cisco networking and basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, routing, switching).
• Datacentre connectivity, passive cabling standards, and asset management knowledge.
• Experience with servers installation, iDrac, dual power supplies, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and AD/Group Policy permissions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all datacentre assets (network, servers, storage) via monitoring tools.
• Manage datacentre asset lifecycle and documentation; assist with rack usage diagrams.
• Coordinate with Network and Sysadmin teams during L2/L3 troubleshooting.
• Oversee basic data centre operations and daily backup monitoring; notify Backup team on failures.
• Log all tickets through MSMA; prepare shift handover and daily reports.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors as required; ensure 24x7 shift readiness.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Monitoring of All assets in Datacentre including Network, Servers, and Storages through the monitoring tool.
2. Complete asset management of Datacentre.
3. Co-ordinate with both Network and Sysadmin team during L2/L3 level trouble shooting.
4. Manage basic data centre operations.
5. Monitor of backup which is running through tools. Inform the Backup team in case of failure of backup.
6. Submission of Daily reports, shift handover.
7. Mandatory to log all tickets through MSMA tool.
8. Will maintain documentation of all datacentre configurations, incident reports and maintenance activities, regular update on Rack usage and diagram.

Required Skills

1. Good understanding in basic networking preferably Cisco. 1st level Network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, routing & switching)
2. Good understanding in Datacentre connectivity, passive cabling standards.
3. Knows the basic command to run in switch, check logs.
4. Good understanding in basic Servers installation . Knowledge of how to connect a server, iDrac, Dual power supply.
5. Good understanding of TCP/IP and other protocols like DHCP/DNS.
6. Good Understanding of AD, Reset of password, understanding of Group Policy, Providing File Server Permission.
7. Knowledge in installing Hardware Devices in Racks including Servers, Switches.
8. Any issues he is required to immediately report to L2 Engineers supporting Network and Sysadmin.
9. Co-ordinate and Log calls with OEMs/Vendors as and when required.
10. Should be flexible for 24x7 Shift.
