Job summary

Elabs Infotech seeks a proactive NOC Engineer with strong command center experience to monitor, troubleshoot, and automate IT infrastructure operations. The role covers incident management, event correlation, automation, and 24x7 support across Linux/Windows servers and network components.

The ideal candidate will handle monitoring using leading tools, perform root-cause analysis, and develop automation scripts in Python/PowerShell/Shell to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in running 24x7 NOC operations and event correlation.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Hands-on scripting for automation using Python/PowerShell/Shell.
• Experience with cloud monitoring (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise infrastructure, applications, servers, databases, and networks via dashboards.
• Respond to alerts within defined SLAs during 24x7 shifts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, and application incidents.
• Perform event correlation, alert suppression, and root-cause analysis.
• Escalate incidents and coordinate with support teams for timely resolution.
• Create and maintain runbooks and SOPs for operations.
• Develop automation scripts to reduce manual tasks.
• Generate operational dashboards, SLA reports, and incident trend analyses.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineer with strong Command Center operations experience and scripting skills to monitor, troubleshoot, and automate IT infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in infrastructure monitoring, incident management, event correlation, automation, and 24x7 operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise infrastructure, applications, servers, databases, and networks through Command Center dashboards.


• Perform 24x7 monitoring of critical business services and respond to alerts within defined SLAs.


• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, network, and application incidents.


• Perform event correlation, alert suppression, and root cause identification.


• Escalate critical incidents to appropriate support teams and ensure timely resolution.


• Create and maintain operational runbooks and standard operating procedures.


• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting to reduce manual operational tasks.


• Automate health checks, log analysis, report generation, and alert remediation activities.


• Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and service health.


• Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM) and bridge calls.


• Support Change Management activities and perform post-change validations.


• Generate operational dashboards, SLA reports, and incident trend analysis.


• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and operational best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Windows & Linux server administration


• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing)


• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, SCOM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or PRTG


• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, BMC Helix)


• Hands-on scripting using Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell


• Experience with log monitoring tools like Splunk or ELK


• Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting


• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure monitoring (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) is an advantage

Good-to-Have Skills

• ITIL Foundation Certification


• Experience with Ansible or other automation tools


• Knowledge of VMware virtualization


• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift monitoring


• DevOps exposure (Git, Jenkins)
