Job summary
Live Connections is seeking an Engineering Manager SMT & PBA Assembly in Chennai with 10+ years of experience in automotive electronics manufacturing. The role leads SMT & PBA operations, troubleshoots production equipment, and drives OEE, FPY, and TPM initiatives across the line.
Responsibilities include model changeovers, tool maintenance, and ensuring IPC-A-610, ESD and IATF 16949 compliance while mentoring engineering teams. Current openings: 1.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- Experience in Automotive Electronics manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with SMT & PBA processes and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead SMT & PBA manufacturing engineering operations.
- Troubleshoot SMT & PBA production equipment and technical issues.
- Handle Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI, Wave Soldering, ICT/FCT.
- Manage jigs, fixtures, pallets, carriers and production tooling.
- Lead model changeovers, feeder setup, stencil changes and nozzle calibration.
- Drive OEE, FPY, productivity and process improvement.
- Conduct RCA using 8D / 5-Why and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Plan and execute TPM, preventive & breakdown maintenance.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve line availability.
- Lead and mentor Engineering & Maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with ESD, IPC-A-610 and IATF 16949 requirements.
