Job summary

Infrassist Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking a Network Engineer to diagnose outages, troubleshoot VPNs, SD-WAN policies and firewall rules. You will coordinate with US-based ISPs, support field technicians remotely, and ensure deployments are validated and reliable.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of hands-on network experience, FortiGate/SD-WAN expertise, and CCNA-level knowledge. Joining a dynamic team, you will work with global engineers and support critical client networks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network support roles, including Fortinet FortiGate/SD-WAN.
• Experience providing remote technical support to field technicians and guiding deployments.
• Solid understanding of VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewall policies and SD-WAN.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve site outages across WAN, firewall and SD-WAN configurations.
• Troubleshoot routing, firewall policy, SD-WAN policy and cellular connectivity issues.
• Support SD-WAN failover and performance optimisation for client sites.
• Coordinate with US-based ISPs/carriers to manage tickets and service restoration.
• Provide remote engineering support to field technicians and validate deployments.
• Implement firewall rule changes per approved requests following best practices.
• Handle same-day service requests and end-to-end ticket resolution within scope.
• Work in parallel with US-based engineers and escalate complex issues as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve site outages (Meraki, Fortinet, Prisma SD-WAN), including:
  • WAN connectivity issues
  • Configuration-related problems
• Troubleshoot routing, firewall policy, SD-WAN policy issues and Cellular Connectivity Issues
• Support and resolve SD-WAN failover and performance issues
• Diagnose and resolve cellular connectivity issues:
  • Cradlepoint, Fortinet, Meraki
  • APN configuration and carrier-related issues
• Engage and coordinate with U.S.-based ISPs and carriers to troubleshoot connectivity issues:
  • Open and manage provider support tickets
  • Drive issues through resolution and confirm service restoration
• Provide remote engineering support for field technicians:
  • Validate configurations and ensure successful site turn-up
• Implement firewall rule changes based on approved requests, following industry best practices
• Support same-day service requests and deployment activities NOC / Engineering Support
• Work ENG/NOC tickets and resolve issues end-to-end where within scope
• Operate in a parallel support model alongside U.S.-based engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently within defined scope, escalating complex or design-related issues appropriately

Workload & Availability Expectations

• Actively manage and work assigned tickets and tasks throughout the entire shift
• Monitoring and operational tasks when ticket volume is low
• Maintain continuous availability during scheduled hours for:
  • Collaboration with U.S.-based engineers
  • Field technician and client support

Core Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in network engineering or network support roles
  • Fortinet (FortiGate / SD-WAN)
• Experience providing remote technical support to field technicians, including guiding installations and validating deployments
• Solid understanding of:
  • VLANs and switching concepts
  • Routing fundamentals
  • VPN technologies (site-to-site, IPsec)
  • Firewall policy management
  • SD-WAN concepts and troubleshooting

Key Technical Capabilities

• Candidates must be able to independently:
  • Troubleshoot VPN connectivity issues
  • Diagnose site outages across WAN, device, and configuration layers
  • Implement and validate firewall rule changes
  • Analyze routing and policy‑related issues
  • Support SD-WAN failover scenarios
  • Execute deployment cutovers with minimal supervision
  • Interface with ISPs/carriers to troubleshoot WAN and circuit issues

Certifications

• Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE4 or equivalent) – Required
• CCNA-level knowledge (certification preferred but not required if experience is strong)
