Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram seeks a network professional to design, implement, and support complex Cisco/Fortinet infrastructure across LAN/WAN, wireless, and security domains.

You will monitor performance, manage VPNs, and drive uptime through proactive configurations and firmware upgrades. The role demands hands-on expertise, cross-team collaboration, and a proactive security posture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, routers and Fortinet security platforms.
• Experience configuring and maintaining LAN/WAN, wireless, and security infra.
• Proven ability to monitor and troubleshoot complex network environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco Routers, Fortinet Firewalls, Fortinet Switches, and Fortinet Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) / Access Points (APs) to ensure network availability and performance.
• Perform configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security infrastructure.
• Monitor network health, performance, bandwidth utilization, and availability using ManageEngine OpsManager Plus and proactively address issues.
• Configure and maintain Fortinet Firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs (Site-to-Site and SSL VPN), routing, and threat prevention features.
• Administer Cisco Nexus switching environments, including VLANs, STP, VPC, trunking, routing protocols, and high-availability configurations.
• Manage and support FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, including centralized policy management, device administration, configuration backups, log analysis, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
• Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet Wireless Infrastructure (WLC/APs), including SSID management, wireless security, RF optimization, and client connectivity issues.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, configuration backups, and technology refresh activities across network and security infrastructure.
• Provide L2/L3 support, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), resolve incidents and problems, and participate in change and release management activities.
• Create and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, operational runbooks, and security standards, while collaborating with infrastructure, server, cloud, and security teams to support business operations and projects.
• Site-to-Site (S2S) VPN tunnels and Remote Access VPN solutions, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting connectivity issues, certificate management, failover testing, and ensuring secure communication between corporate and remote locations.
• Internet and MPLS connectivity across branch and data center locations, including ISP coordination, link utilization monitoring, bandwidth management, incident resolution, circuit provisioning, failover testing, and ensuring high network availability and performance.
