The role demands alertness, strong troubleshooting ability, and good communication skills. Experience 1–3 years or freshers with networking certs are welcome; CCNA is a plus. This is a night USA shift role based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics & Communication or related field.
1–3 years of experience in NOC, network monitoring, IT infrastructure or technical support.
Freshers with networking certs and strong technical knowledge may be considered.
CCNA certification will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Monitor network devices, servers, applications and IT infrastructure through NOC monitoring tools.
Monitor alerts, alarms, outages and performance issues.
Identify and report incidents and service degradation promptly.
Maintain continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure.
Log and acknowledge incidents and service requests.
Perform basic L1 troubleshooting using SOPs and runbooks.
Categorize and prioritize incidents by severity and business impact.
Escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 within defined timelines.
Maintain incident and escalation records.
Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity, routers and switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP, and server alerts.
Use Ping, Traceroute and IP configuration checks for diagnostics.
Monitor device/interface status and identify connectivity issues.
Maintain accurate incident/ticket records and prepare shift-wise NOC reports.
Coordinate with Network, IT Infrastructure, Security and other teams; liaise with vendors when required.

Job description

We are looking for an L1 NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations team in Ahmedabad. The candidate will be responsible for continuous monitoring of network and IT infrastructure, identifying incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, maintaining incident records and escalating issues to the appropriate technical teams within defined timelines.

The role requires strong alertness, troubleshooting ability, communication skills and the ability to work effectively in USA Shift ( 05:30 PM - 02:30 PM )

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Network & Infrastructure Monitoring

Monitor network devices, servers, applications and IT infrastructure through NOC monitoring tools.
Monitor alerts, alarms, outages and performance-related issues.
Identify and report incidents and service degradation promptly.
Ensure continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure.
Receive, log and acknowledge incidents and service requests.
Perform L1-level troubleshooting using defined SOPs and runbooks.
Categorize and prioritize incidents based on severity and business impact.
Escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 teams within defined timelines.
Maintain accurate incident and escalation records.
Technical Troubleshooting
Perform basic troubleshooting of:
LAN / WAN connectivity
Routers and switches
Firewalls
VPN connectivity
Internet connectivity
DNS / DHCP issues
Basic server and infrastructure alerts
Perform basic diagnostics using Ping, Traceroute and IP configuration checks.
Monitor device/interface status and identify basic connectivity issues.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate incident and ticket records.
Prepare shift-wise NOC reports.
Update monitoring and ticketing systems regularly.
Follow established NOC SOPs and escalation matrices.

Coordination

Coordinate with Network, IT Infrastructure, Security and other technical teams.
Coordinate with vendors/service providers whenever required.
Provide updates on critical incidents until resolution or escalation.
Ensure clear and professional communication during incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics & Communication or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in NOC, network monitoring, IT infrastructure or technical support.
Freshers with relevant networking certifications and strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
CCNA certification will be an advantage.
