Job summary

Chennai City Corporation is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, with a focus on security, cloud connectivity, and automation. The role requires hands-on expertise with SDN, AWS/Azure networking, and Cisco product families.

The ideal candidate will have strong TCP/IP, firewall, and routing skills, plus scripting experience in Python or Ansible to support automation and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing and implementing AWS and Azure networking solutions including VPCs, VNets, NSGs and NAT Gateways.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise network architectures.
• Configure and optimize routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, eBGP).
• Lead network security design with firewalls and VPNs.

• Network engineering, design,and architecture expertise with exposure to two or more of the following areas:LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, security, VOIP, QoS, and encryption technologieswhile adhering to standard design methodologies and best practices
• Mastery of TCP/IP protocolcommunications, addressing & subnetting
• Firewall experience:Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco’sproduct portfolio; routers, switches, wireless, ACS and ISE
• Extensive knowledge of Networkdiagnostics, protocols, and disciplines, EIGRP, BGP, eBGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, andMPLS technologies.
• Advanced, Knowledge of routingand switching protocols

Requirements

• Experience with SDNtechnologies such as Cisco ACI, VMWare NSX
• Experience and workingknowledge of scripting/automation tools such as python, Ansible etc. will be ahuge plus and will make you standout
• Experience with load balancingtechnologies such as F5, Netscaler, A10

• Cisco certifications such asCCNP or CCDP, CCIE, or CCDE desired
• Experience designing andimplementing AWS and Azure networking solutions including VPCs, VNets, NetworkSecurity Groups (NSGs) Subnets, Route Tables, Internet Gateways, and NATGateways
• Hands-on experience with AWSand Azure Direct Connect, Express routes,and VPN connectivity for hybrid cloud architectures
