Job summary

TransPerfect Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable, highly available network architectures aligned with business objectives and SLAs.

You will join a team responsible for ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and security configurations across the enterprise. The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Dell devices, firewall policies, and network monitoring tools, with a preference for CCNA or Network+ certification.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or equivalent preferred.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• Experience with configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and QoS.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform maintenance and upgrades including patches and security configurations.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot issues.
• Adhere to change management policies for network changes.
• Collaborate with security team to implement tools and procedures.

Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to help design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a network engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Work amongst other teams within the organization.

• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and NXOS.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Experience with Juniper and Dell Switches.
• Knowledge of Cisco Wifi and Mobility Express configuration.
• CCNA or Network+ certification a plus.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
• BA/BS Degree in computer science or equivalent education is preferred, but will consider commensurate experience.
