Job summary

Communications Test Design is seeking an experienced network engineer to provide Level 3 support for high-severity incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.

The role involves security policy implementation, firmware management, failover testing, and collaboration with vendors for advanced resolutions. Strong analytical skills and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot high-severity network issues.
• Experience with LAN/WAN and WLAN architectures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 96 and on-demand L3 support for Severity 1 incidents.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, AAA, RADIUS, and wireless controller issues.
• Analyze network logs and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Monitor and optimize network and WLAN performance.
• Manage firmware upgrades, software updates, and network device maintenance.
• Implement network security policies, authentication, access controls, and encryption.
• Perform failover testing and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM vendors and TAC for advanced troubleshooting.
• Handle escalations and maintain network configuration documentation.
• Support Aruba ClearPass, RADIUS, and wireless controller management.
• Assist with access point deployment, switch replacement, and hardware installation.
• Train L1 teams and maintain SOPs and knowledge base articles.
• Prepare Wireless LAN availability and security reports.
